Hello, I will give my opinion about the article “Who needs an Architect?" by Martin Fowler, this article focusses in defining what an architecture and an architect really means, not only it is important to know architecture in the software development area, it is also important to know it in different areas so we can know the importance of this word and role.

As the article said, it is difficult to understand in the first instance what an architecture really means, many can have a lot of definitions and these cause many confusions. So here is how Martin Fowler define architect "Architecture is about the important stuff. Whatever that is."

As simple as that, there is a lot of definitions around there that contrast other definitions and this one is the most correct according to the article. In consequence, you can be an architect if you have the proper skills and you know how to identify the important things that you need in order to do a successful and complete project, so this is the reason of the name of the article.

Importance of an architect in a project.

So, if you can be an architect, why do you need an architect in a project? Well, this is because there is a lot of kinds of architects around there, the article shows that the most important skill about an architect is that he knows to supply his team in order to accomplish the goals and also, to grows as a team in all aspects, therefore, you need a good architect, in other words, you need a good guide in order to achieve the best results possible.

As the article said, you can change easily software, but in most cases, our design it is too complex, you can change properties in order to make changer easier but in the future this "solutions" can be more complex, so, in conclusion, we need to make a good design in order to prevent these problems and the role of a software architect represents a big responsibility and also, a big challenge that we need to work day after day in order to be greater persons.
